Native to Davenport IA, Brandon is a self-taught, contemporary artist living in Atlanta. Working primarily with reclaimed material from movie sets, his mixed-media works combine vivid colors and textures over found objects, creating a unique energy on wood canvas. Humbly influenced by the brilliant works of Jackson Pollock, Mark Bradford, and Alberto Burri Marshall strives to unite the anonymity of the abstract with the raw power of reflective association. Everything is relative; and what’s found woven within the thick layers of life’s strata, serves as innate inspiration. He prefers to work big, with no visible frame, and avoid the boundaries of the immediately recognizable.
