Marianne van der Haar

Artist MarianneB Van Der Haar uses a combination of synthesis and spirit to create mixed media paintings that explore the concepts of color, flow, and balance. She begins with patterns and adds on the dynamic movement of paint and texture to create an energetic and sensual spatial flow. Both layered and poetic, her work explores a spectrum of emotions with its bold, powerful color on one hand, and soft, warm, monochromatic whites on the other.

Her experiences living and traveling in countries around the world, including Africa and Thailand, also help inform her work, and her passion for the diversity of people and stories – mixed with an eye for color and balance from her background in interior design – help her express the profound insights she finds in the cross-cultural experience.
